2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use InSype, we may collect:

3. Why we use personal information

We use personal information to create and secure your account, understand and perform your hunt, rank and present potential matches, process service payments, contact relevant sellers where required by the service, send service updates, respond to support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain and improve InSype, measure site usage and performance, measure advertising where consent permits, comply with legal obligations, and send marketing communications where we have a lawful basis to do so.

4. Legal bases

Depending on the activity, we rely on contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests, or consent. Consent is used where required, including for certain non-essential cookies, analytics/advertising technologies and marketing communications.

5. AI and automated processing

InSype uses automated systems and AI-assisted methods to analyse search briefs, compare inventory, rank potential matches and support sourcing workflows. These tools help us provide the service you requested. We do not intend to use automated processing to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects without the safeguards required by applicable law.

6. Information shared with others

We share personal information only where reasonably necessary. Recipients may include payment processors; hosting, infrastructure, security, database, authentication, email and support providers; analytics providers such as Google Analytics where enabled and lawfully permitted; advertising providers such as Meta where enabled and lawfully permitted after required consent; independent sellers or sourcing contacts where limited information is needed to perform your requested service; professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

7. Seller outreach

When a paid hunt requires seller contact, we aim to share only the information necessary to ask about the relevant item or requirement. We do not normally need to disclose your payment information or unrelated account information to a seller.

8. International data transfers

Some service providers may process data in countries different from your own. Where data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, as applicable.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing your account and hunt history, resolving disputes, maintaining security and meeting tax, accounting and legal obligations. Different categories may therefore have different retention periods.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information, object to certain processing, receive certain information in portable form, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise a privacy right, contact michael@insype.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. Marketing

You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe option provided in the message or by contacting us. Service-related messages about your account, payment or active hunt are not marketing and may still be sent where necessary to provide the service.

12. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies needed for site functions. Optional analytics and marketing technologies are controlled by your cookie choices. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is not loaded until you grant Analytics consent. Meta Pixel is not initialized until you grant Marketing consent. If you choose Accept all, both categories are enabled and the analytics and advertising-measurement features configured for InSype may operate without consent-based restrictions. You can reject non-essential technologies or manage Analytics and Marketing separately through Cookie settings. InSype does not intentionally send free-text hunt briefs, account names, email addresses, passwords or card details as analytics or advertising event parameters. See our Cookie Policy.

13. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your account credentials and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

14. Children

InSype is not designed for children and we do not knowingly offer paid sourcing services to children who cannot lawfully enter the relevant contract.

15. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work. In the United Kingdom, the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as InSype develops or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
